VISION:
Connecting communities, governments, the private sector, and research centres of excellence in a unified effort to make a difference

Kaiser Mental Health and
Addictions Awareness Foundation (NPO)

The Kaiser Mental Health and Addictions Awareness Foundation is a Federally-registered not-for-profit organization (administered by the Kaiser Foundation) which supports evidence-based best practices in the field, working with community organizations to develop effective measurements of their program outcomes and promoting knowledge exchange among service providers and with centres of excellence in related fields.

The initiatives delivered by this organization complement the National Awards for Excellence Program by more directly disseminating to the public and governments the information acquired from the evidence-based, best practice programs. The foundation networks with community-based organizations throughout the country and with academic centres which have established best practice criteria.

The Kaiser Mental Health and Addictions Awareness Foundation (NPO) works to raise the issues of mental health and addiction by bringing divergent groups together. Thus, supporting best practices and knowledge transfer. The Foundation recognizes there is NO single cure for addiction and that addictions and mental health issues know no boundaries. What happens in any part of the country from British Columbia to Newfoundland affects every other part, be it Ontario, Quebec or Nunavut.
